Our "Steps To Sunday School Success" Workshop

Is NOW AVAILABLE On Video!

After more than three years of planning and work, we are pleased to announce that our first workshop on video, "Steps To Sunday School Success," is now available! The "Steps…" workshop is a program on involving every member in Sunday school growth and renewal. The workshop is designed so that it can be used by both individuals and in group workshop settings.

Initial comments from people who have seen the video workshop have been very good!

The "Steps…" workshop itself is designed to be presented as six one-hour sessions. During each of the sessions or lessons, participants will watch several segments from the video (about 20 minutes of video is used in each lesson) and also use a number of "hands-on" activities to become fully involved in working to bring about Sunday school growth and renewal within their own church. The workshop video presentation features P.S.S.S.A. Executive Director, Rodney L. Pry, who also wrote the workshop.

The workshop begins by focusing on the importance of Sunday school. It then leads participants in a study of the "health" of their own Sunday school. Following that, it looks at seven specific areas related to "preparation for Sunday school growth" (spiritual growth and renewal, the welcome extended to visitors, program and organizational renewal, positive public relations, teacher training and recognition, witnessing and invitation, and prayer). The workshop also presents a variety of practical ideas and suggestions that can be used to help bring about Sunday school growth in any local church. The workshop "kit" includes a two-hour VCR cassette and four separate sets of work sheets (one set for group workshop leaders, one for individuals who use the workshop by themselves, reproducible worksheets for persons participating in a group workshop presentation, and general information "appendix" sheets), all packaged in a custom three-ring binder.
